Alternate method for turn-by-turn?

It is my understanding that currently SWRemote gets turn by turn directions is through this process:SWRemote device sends request to SW21SW21 starts a new mappoint process.SW21 gets the directions…Continue

Ability to add photos to a job?

I'm surprised there are no posts on this already.We were thinking of having our technicians take a picture of the problem before the work, then one after, as a standard company policy for all service work. Now that SW21 can attach documents to jobs (if setup by the administrator), what about adding a way for the field technicion to add photos while filling out the work-done notes? I was thinking of it as a stop-measure until you can develop the more full-fledged solution to work with other mapping programs. I look forward to whatever solutions you come up with.   Thanks for the update!

Nathan,I just added a new feature request for this (as it is essentially a different request than supporting other mapping programs).  It is awaiting review; I will definitely let you know of any updates.

Jeffrey, I'm curious if you guys have any plans to implement this in newer releases? We've got a couple MC65 devices we are trying out. Google Maps is currently installed and working, yet there is not way to automatically transfer the job…

Nathan,Your feature request has been reviewed, but the response is that ultimately this lies in SuccessWare 21's hands.  Unfortunately, it is not something we can change within SWRemote without SuccessWare 21 changing their map program…

On large jobs, about 400 (these freeze). A few are around 100 (also freeze), but most are around 20 (don't freeze).

Hi Nate, Make sure in your Mobile Inventory settings scree, that your Timeout is set to "-1". This tells the application do not stop making a web service request, no matter how long it may take. Large updates to SW21 make require some time…
