We are happy to announce that a new update has been released for Mobile Technician. The new update is currently in the hands of our Beta participants and will be widely available shorly. Below are the release notes for the changes made to our software. 

 

Mobile Technician 1.0.1.52

During this deployment there are changes in the way Mobile Technician performs various job functions. Below is a list of the bug fixes and updates that were made during this deployment that affect normal workflow.

1.)    Now when your technicians add a task to the invoice that has parts assigned to the task in SuccessWare21 those parts will show up in the parts used screen. Your technicians can remove those items or add additional items to the parts used list. The Parts Used screen will still create a Material Requisition if you have Inventory in SuccessWare21 turned on.

2.)    Your Technicians can now add both Work Done and Work Suggested Notes in the invoice screen in Mobile Technician.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.)    Your technicians can now print Work Done notes on the Invoice if “Print Work Done” checkbox has been selected on the admin site.

4.)    Your technicians will no longer get “Assignment Information has Changed” or “Database Resynchronization” messages unless the change is for the call they are currently on. These updates will now happen in the background.

5.)    Your technicians may now scan the UPC for a part if you have the UPC entered on the part in the price book in SuccessWare21. It will return all results for the number you scanned so if you have duplicate UPC numbers or Item numbers in SuccessWare21 then all results will show on the device allowing the technician to select the correct item they scanned.

6.)    Your technicians may now scan the Model Number of a Unit when adding equipment and select it as a result.

 

7.)    When selecting the appropriate peripheral equipment the correct com port will display every time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8.)    The sales call process was updated. Your technicians may continue to send invoices on a sales call.  They cannot send payment.

9.)    Price book updates will now happen in real time for every time zone.

10.) An Error when printing where the device kept loading has been fixed.

11.) You may now send multiple requisitions on jobs and the previous call's requisition will be removed for each new call.

12.) The Maximum character length in the email field under Service Location has been expanded to 150 characters

13.) Company Names will now print out on the Invoice if the location is a business address.

That's right - printing work done notes is finally here!!!  And scanning UPCs...more good stuff to come - stay tuned
